Musk and the Paul Pelosi Attack Conspiracy: What's your take?

article image placeholderMusk tweets link to an unfounded conspiracy theory
For those wondering what the Twitter verse would look like underneath the new ownership of Elon Musk, we may have gotten that answer just two days after the purchase was completed. For weeks and months, people have been speculating and fearing that with the new freedom of speech rules that Elon Musk has been discussing, that a lot more disinformation, misinformation, and hate speech would creep up on the Twitter platform. And then Paul Pelosi was attacked in his own home. Paul Pelosi. Of course

And again, what people don't get about this is that falsifiable evidence, if you go to somebody who is deeply entrenched in this ecosystem of misinformation, there is nothing you can say to debate them out of it. I don't know if other people can relate to this, but I have family members, I have friends, people I used to know who I will show them the facts, I'll show them the information

And the answer is because they genuinely believe that by converting more people to their practice, they are saving lives. And that's a difficult thing to convince people to not do. Right? And I kind of see the same behaviors in a lot of conspiracy theorists. They believe that what they are doing is righteous. It is something that the world needs if we are ever going to course correct. But you know that a lot of that stuff, 95% plus percent of it is baseless, right?

And it's always important to look at who benefits from that agenda. And it tends to be the people who, frankly, make money off of these ecosystems of disinformation. And so I think that's always something that needs to be pointed out, I think, to what I was saying before, though, the way to combat this, honestly, I don't want to sound altium and gloom, right?

@cinemaholics The public defenders comments

Well, as more information comes out, it seems the conspiracy theory that floated out there that Paul Pelosi and David Papape actually knew each other was just simply not true. I'm basing this on information that I've seen on interviews with former employers and an interview with the Pape himself, and the comments from his public defender, Adam Lipstick Lipson didn't say too much and didn't comment too much

You do see a lot of demonization. You do see a lot of, like, especially with Trump, for example, right? Like, we just got to get rid of Trump. But of course, that didn't really fix that much in this country. Trump was a problem, but it wasn't the problem, I think, for Democrats and a lot of people in between the problems in this country are systemic. They're complicated. They require unification
