I just saw this episode of Golden Girls. I want to know what you think. I tagged a little snippet of it right here on this link. Go ahead and watch it and tell me what you think about that

But to your point, as a teacher, how do we look at the power of repetitive messages as being delivered through all these different mediums to be, whether it's through a meme or a Tweet or a banner or a TV show or a speech. When does it stick? When does it transform generations? Because so much is cell memory. And how do we move into the future with all the lessons from the past? It's just a provocative question that leaves me with a question

Good morning, Coach Jeffrey. This is York from the Poetic Earthlings Podcast. I watched the clip of The Golden Girls. I'm a big Golden Girls fan. I've always been, and I thought that that particular clip was amazing. It really goes to show you how somebody could look at one particular object and have certain feelings, negative feelings. And another group could look at the same object in this case, the Confederate flag and have positive emotions

And what's fascinating to me is that this implicit ignorance that seems to pervade people now was that in 1988, we were talking about it and it's not like that both sides didn't know. So I found it interesting that Golden Girls would go that deep into a race relations talk. It was a very popular show back in the 80s, and everybody watched it pretty much. I know we did, and we still love it to this day

Also too. Deborah, I'd like to thank you for your insights. Always deep conversations. I like the way that you bring about looking at topics, the indepth mode that you do. So I greatly appreciate you your insight as well

So that impelled me to come back to this because it's been bugging me, actually, that I haven't responded to this because my first reaction to the video and I'm not proud of this. But my first reaction is this is too controversial. I can't talk about this. I can't respond to anything, and I just want to be totally honest. That was my first thought, and I've come to realize it's just like that's not the right answer
