Welcome #podcasting #literacy #ecosystem

I do the podcast here for Swell, and I also spent 17 years in the education system, specifically with adult learners. So I'm extremely passionate about the whole family getting involved with the learning experience. And I'd love to get to know your perspective on how to engage grandparents and parents and cousins and uncles and everybody involved in the learning process because I think that makes a huge difference

Collaboration! Communication! This is gonna be a great app for education!

There's a strategy that we use in education to try to involve our English language learners. It's called talk, read, talk. Right. And basically by allowing students to have conversations in the classroom, it enhances their writing ability, especially if that conversation is structured around curricular content. So this app would be amazing

But then I would talk to other people, people that would live 5 miles away from me saying that they can barely get a hold of their teachers and their kids were doing nothing. So it just kind of spoke to. Okay, there's a divide going on who has access to what? And I really welcome your ideas on Swell, too, of how that can improve

Great! Thoughts on health education?

But I do believe there's a strong role personally for myself. Growing up, PE was the most influential class that I ever took. Believe it or not even going through engineering school and medical school and all that, PE was the one that stuck with me the most. And I am a little concerned about the generation that's not only falling behind academically but also physically and the role of health education, of course, is undeniably important

Thanks! Physical Health is so important.

So as far as training and body works and all of those things, yeah, I can say I did work a lot with that, especially when I was coaching. And currently I got my kids at home because we all in this Covenant, 19 are working with our children. So my kids are working on their own bodies at home

Thanks!

Coach Jeffrey, great to hear your perspective, and I agree about the importance of the integrated approach, just like how the mental health and physical health are acceptable in the human body. So as looking at the child as a whole. So I really look forward to hearing more from you here on swell
