The relief of being a listener

That for her, having been a Covid high school kid and college kid, gathering for the sake of gathering with strangers to just listen is a really new idea. She goes to concerts, she goes to restaurants with her friends, et cetera, with a purpose of being with people she knows. And often she and I were talking about how in those settings, you're invested, and so you're listening differently. There's no sometimes easy listening because you're anticipating what the people are going to say

@ChristineGrimm Listening is learning and a key to success

You could tell that there were very, very differing ways that they talked about. Some were old fashioned, some weren't. But the key thing, the one thing, the one thing that they all mentioned and the one commonality between them all is they talked about the importance of listening. It was really remarkable how much they all had the same message on listening and how important it was to listen to your clients, listen to your employees, and just take a step back and listen

But I think that's what swell has taught me, is that when someone speaks in their authentic voice and they're not expecting anything, really, because they're just doing it for the sake of telling the story, it adds a very organic level to the exchange. It's like saying, hello, witness me, I'll be the best I can be. But it's not transactional. Excuse me? Which I think is very interesting. A lot of things we do in life are transactional

Tbe Art od Listening. Listening our way to success. - #BeTheBeacon

As we introduce swell to our community is building meaningful relationships one conversation at a time. One conversation at a time requires listening in there, how do we listen is a beautiful question and as I have been exploring it, I didn't realize all the nuances of listening. The art of listening. Ah la. Thank you very much and enjoy your friends, enjoy la. And most importantly, enjoy listening to your daughter

And I started thinking about that, I said, my God, people are going to refer to themselves as, yeah, I was a former Covid high school kid. When you think about it, it's intriguing in and of itself. Right. But anyway, I enjoyed listening to your broadcast here and look forward to more, and thank you very much. All right, bye
