What kind of BOSS are you? And if you aren’t a boss yet, what kind of boss do you really want to work for?

That's how they know each other. But I know him because he has been my client multiple times. Because this man builds companies that are amazing because not only does their business grow successfully through thick and thin, but the cultures that he builds are really unique and just exemplary. Like, people are loyal to this man in ways that most other leaders that I've met just wish they could have. So I'll leave you with that. It's the truth. I hope that you can join us

@ChristineGrimm Generation and company size play a role

And that's where I think my management style and what I wanted from my bosses was really that freedom to do, set the goals, and then how I get there or how my direct reports get there is really on their own. And we'll assess that at the end of the year, whether you're successful or not in doing so well, maybe every quarter that's wait till the end of the year

But to be honest, nobody is perfect and at times I was not at my best. I have had few things that I'm not proud of in terms of managing people and I think my key takeaways are not trying to micromanage. That is the first thing you have to have trust in your people. And I think I also had a lot of experiences with how sometimes even bosses can get insecure of their direct reportees because that is something that I have experienced too. It's very interesting topic

I'm not really sure how true that is, but that's the feedback that I've been given. But you know what, Christine? All this aside, I think the reality is that as a leader, you sort of just have to adapt with the culture at large, the age group of the people that you're working with, and then also the company dynamics. It just vastly differs from one company to another

As someone who is a professional athlete and then, of course, a business leader, he gets into tactics and will stop meetings to listen to people and then ensure that everyone's connecting the dots to decision making. If we stand for this, how is that going to look in real life?
