Casey Kasem and the weekly top 40s

article image placeholderUploaded by @chitchatwithkk
Casey's in a weekly top 40s. Did you remember? Because I do. And when I go home, it's so funny because when I own away, I will listen to the music that I listen to now. However, when I get home, it was funny because my kids and their dad, they would say, when you get to a certain spot, you always change the music

The Casey I knew….

So I always wanted to listen to the top 40 because it always reminded me of the character from the cartoon that I was so fond of. And I had forgot all about that until you said that. Now it sucks that we don't have shows like that anymore, because it kept me in tune with what was actually popular when it came to american culture and music. Really? And, yeah, that's my story about Casey Gasem

I don't recall that cartoon, but it doesn't mean I didn't see it, you know? But, yeah, that's funny how, like, the connection to him is pretty much the same, but two different dynamics. So thanks again for responding. Have a good day

It. Wow. I remember this really well. I think that his second fun was when I was, like, a young kid, and I just remember he was a really charismatic guy and one of the best of the best when it comes to radio airplay and just making it a fun experience. But it's interesting because I think depending on when you were born or where you were born or your family and what they're into, you will know Casey Kasem for a couple of other things

Like, well, they said in every show if you ever notice it, you know, and, you know, it's funny how we don't know just certain things. My daughter actually wants to be a voiceover artist herself. She does anime art as well, and she's been practicing her craft on both ends. And she was actually talking about the guy who, I forgot the name, but the guy that played on Princess and the frog as the voodoo doctor

The good Ole days.

There were letters and calls to Fox, and it wasn't shown again for, like, 20 years because the nature of the episode, and I won't spoil it for you, if you google it, you'll have a little. Whoa. Because remember, this was like the actually go that route and have that on tv. And I remember the episode being amazing. I revisited it about a year ago. It still is, but I had to wait 20 years

Hey, good evening and thank you so much for responding to my swell. Like, it's good to know that more people than I have great memories from Casey, you know? And you're right. The anticipation of getting in the car or whatever and turning on that radio and just listening and being like, who's number one this week? You know, how are things going to go this week? And just like, just listen, listening, sitting there listening
