ROMANTICIZING OF MENTAL ILLNESS AND TRAUMA?!

article image placeholderUploaded by @chipotle69
So anyway, I have personally come across so many people in my life who sort of tend to be suffering from some sort of major psychological disorder and they came to be in pain, et cetera, et cetera, when in reality they've literally not gone through any sort of traumatic experiences. So of course, this might seem like a generalization, but this is something that occurs widely on the internet as well. It's almost a trend. And this was very huge on Tumblr

Let’s get philosphical.I would 10/10 love to hear your experiences📈(psa:not meant to offend or devalue anyone’s experience) #sayitonswell #mentalhealth

That's just how sad they are and that helps me be a decent friend to them. If they want to be treated that way, they're outside. Then if I can help, I try and help. Otherwise, I do what I can when I can, hopefully. But I don't think it's really healthy to exaggerate or even sometimes I have been guilty of this underplaying certain emotions or like, certain events that happen in your life
