In the Dream House by Carmen Maria Machado: Creative Non-fiction about an abusive lesbian relationship

article image placeholderUploaded by @Charlieri
But I think there is this idea and I guess a bit more specifically about lesbians, that there is this beautiful dream world that these two women can enter that is separate from the rest of society and beautiful and utopian and, well, sometimes these relationships can be abusive, and they are just like everyone else's. And to put them on a pedestal is actually really dangerous. And Connor and Machado explores this very personal journey, and it's written so gorgeously

Thank you for such a great post. Sorry for the goat reference I have a terr

By the way, I wouldn't have a sacrifice ago. I am vegetarian. I am all for animals. That was a joke. I am also a terribly, terribly sarcastic, stereotypical sarcastic British person

It's just another one of these signs to why feminism is important for literally everyone. Obviously, we have women's refugees, but men's refugees. I bet they are few and far between. It says a lot. I think when we look at abusive, abusive lesbian relationship that way because people just won't recognize it like men, people in queer relationships might just not recognize it
