#UrduPoetry #Ghalib #Ghazal Perhaps the greatest urdu poet https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghalib

I had been waiting patiently for the letter G so I could talk about Mirza Ghalib. Ghaleb is probably the most well known Urdu poet of all times. He was born in north India in 1797, and his work is still very, very relevant. Fresh people sing it in so many different forms. In particular, he was famous for ghazals. Gaza is a very specific form of photo poetry, which has a very strict structure. Each ghazal is composed of couplets of two lines each

You, faji. I wanted to talk about Gil Scott Heron. Just an amazing singer and writer from the late 70s. He was famous for his long poem the Revolution Will Not Be Televised. This is a short excerpt from his poem. I think I'll call it morning

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - Mailied

Hello, everyone. In English. They say English is the language of Shakespeare. And what is German? German is the language of Goethe. Yes. So he's been very creative. He’s lived for a long time and his poetry about nature is just fantastic. I mean, the amount he has written very complicated stuff. Very elaborate stuff. And very touching too. There are some short novels by him like Die Leiden des jungen Werthers the Sufferings of the Young Werther
