Daily Drive Episode 230: Hurt people, hurt people

And that hurts because the loneliest place a person can be is somewhere that they're not wanted, and that can hurt somebody. Right. And you will hold on to that hurt for so long that when somebody is patient or somebody that is trying to show you something, you're automatically defensive. You automatically just sit there like, no, I'm okay, I'm good. Or this, this. And this happened because you've already felt that traumatic trigger before

Or is it something where it's just like I need a new location somewhere because I think I ran my course and I just need to find something different in order for me to feel better. Because again, when you've been hurt, sometimes you just need to not be an autopilot as long as you need to. And I'll give myself for an example is I went through something traumatic. And for about two and a half years, it was me being on autopilot

And through my nephew passing away, my sister went through a lot of things and I tried to help her and I took what she said to me and I blame myself for him dying because sometimes you're the glue of families. And I'm not trying to boast myself and say that I'm all that, but I was typically the person that my sister would just tell what was going on and with our family dynamics and things and we would talk about our lives and things that we were going through

But that's kind of the other big part of when somebody is hurting or they just need that extra sense of, I need another ear to hear on something. It's very hard for us to do so because we may have our own things, but it's like, you know what? I think they need a little bit more than I do. And it's okay for me, but at the end of it, I really need to just sit there and say, you know what?
