I remember I used to do that as a kid, but my mom slapped the shit out of me enough that I stopped fucking doing it because she was like, that's dirty and gross, and you're going to make yourself sick. Like, if your nails are too long, clip them. She's like, or I'll clip them. And my mother terrified me, so I just clipped them myself. But I've never heard of getting worms from biting your fingernails
