Ask a Failure | The Etymology of Shit

article image placeholderThe Etymology of Shit
We are a s*** obsessed world. It cannot be contested. We tell people to eat s*** than eat s*** ourselves. We like to lose our s***. We call people s*** bags and s*** heads. We get shitfaced. Sometimes we're of S*** Creek as we are now. Please keep rowing. I know this story is distractingly, thrilling

But failure, I've noticed, has made me a better person, and I have experiences with failure that for the better, made me a better person and gave me good experiences in the end. So I just want to tell you that this was a really good swell and I will definitely listen to the follow up if you do decide to make a follow up, professor, 42 out

Speak your shit!

And yeah, it says something to us about failure in a way that speaks to our resolve as a species, as a people. When we are faced with adversity, what do you do? Do you just let it remain, or do you work on what it is? That is the thing that's blocking your way. And can you actually climb that mountain? And I'm always Rowan for etymology

I found this so poetic. I think it was interesting to think about all the different ways that we use that word in our vocabulary and how it can mean different things and how it's changed over time. So if nothing else, I really enjoyed your statements and kind of what your direction is on this. I think it's a really interesting topic of conversation, for other ideas
