Horror of horrors! What are the best books in the genre?
Horror, as it goes without saying, is highly subjective. So while some readers are all about the Gore and things that go bump in the night, there are others who prefer quieter stories that get under your skin in more subtle ways. And I personally belong to the second category. And given the breadth of the horror spectrum and the subjectivity involved, compiling a list of best horror books of all time cannot be easy
There are so many layers and things to things about just the experience of reading it and going through it was an experience itself. Reflecting on those emotions, reflecting on those thoughts totally gets under your skin
Hey, Christina, thank you. I just looked up this book, and I am intrigued for as you say, it's not the monsters or the jump scares, but the horrors of everyday life rooted in reality, through our political and psychological fears that gets to us really badly. So I think I'm going to take you up on this book, and I'll be back here sharing my views on this. Thank you, sir, so much for the recommendation

Happy to see that Dracula and Frankenstein are on there, and quite a few titles I would be intrigued to pick up, even though by and large I don't read horror novels. I haven't read most of these on the list. One book that I'll have to say intrigued me when I read it and then made me mad, and then I decided I didn't like it
