The book is based on a beautiful premise. Who would have thought words of Brahma of Vishnu and Ram of Shiva could create Song of the Trinity? A prison that's impregnable and Vikali. The Lord of Kalyuga is imprisoned. So how did you come up with the story?

Hi. So the answer to that hi, everybody. This is Vadhan. To answer your question on how I came about with the story of Song of The Trinity is that it started off as a story for my children when they were kids, just small, brief stories about my favorite character in mythology, which was Ashwar Thaman, and building a bunch of stories around that. Well, my children grew up. They moved on into their lives, and then I was left with all these stories

Song of the Trinity. Its interesting story keeps you gripped till the end, unputdownable. And it isn't linear storytelling at that. So how long did it take for you to research and finish this book? Was there a process in place? For instance, did you plot the story first and then write?

I'm not a planned writer like many good authors are. I'm a very intuitive writer, so I write by intuition. So all the paragraph, all the sorry, the chapters that you see in the Song of the Trinity, nonlinear as it is were written one after the other in that fashion. There was no planning in terms of what the first chapter will be or what the second chapter will be. The chapters just flowed through. And that's how I have drafted the book

I certainly look forward to the second installment in the series. But what makes this book enigmatic is not just the storyline. Your worldbuilding, too, takes center stage. The ambience sucks a reader into the story in no time. It is magical realism, vivid imageries. So how did you make that happen?

The definitions of the contours of the universe that you can create are limitless. So there is a universe being created. The universe started getting created with Shatru and the universe continues to get created with the first installment, which is the rise of Kali in the Song of the Trinity. And it will continue to grow. So in this particular book, I have created close to around four or five, I think, if I remember worlds. Now, these worlds are different from each other

Talking about the characters. There is Ashwathama, there is Indra, therasour Crony, Shatru, Krish and so many more larger than life characters with rap. Sage Two, who gives the much needed laugh breaks in the narrative. How did you craft these characters? Was it difficult?

And why they react, the way they react, what makes them react, what ticks them off, what is in their past that is really pushing them to do what they are doing in the future is another thing that I had to really work around and come out. So the characters are pretty it important for this book. And what they do and why they do it is also very important

The book doesn't compromise in the prophecies about Kalyuga, despite being a mythological fiction, you've brought in the elements of Chiranjeevis. So I would like to know, how do you expand the story? In the upcoming installments, of course, I wouldn't want you to give us the spoilers. But if you can give us a glimpse

So that's about the prophecies and how this Kalyug is going to turn out and what needs to be done or what should not be done. Then the concept of the chiranjivis. Ashworthaman is, of course, one of the chiranjivis, one of the immortals, seven or the nine immortals of Hindu mythology. And of course, he is the protagonist of this book along with Shatru and along with a few other warriors. So Ashwar Taman is supposed to be an extremely powerful warrior

Thank you, Author Vadhan, for doing this interview with me. It was absolute delight to talk to you about Song of the Trinity. This book was gripping, thrilling, engrossing, highly entertaining, a mix of magical realism, Sci-Fi, mythological fiction. And anyone who picks it up will not have a single bleak moment while reading it
