Younger audiences who don't know better easily find her books, I would say understandable, relatable, kind of bragworthy on social media, things of the sort. So I think this is why the Colin hoover phenomena kind of works, irrespective of everything logical, the emotional wins. And then there is that. What are your thoughts around this? Let me know

I would just be curious who you would recommend her books to and why, and if you think I should personally take the time to try to read any of them. Thank you so much for this

There are things in it like those traditional female stereotypes, as the conservatives put it, that a lot of these female characters kind of casually talk about and then say, because I have this, I'm a good girlfriend. Complete, I would say misogyny on display, to be honest. And because it is coming from a female author, I suppose it's internalized misogyny. There is extremely gendered language in the book. You have pro life rhetoric everywhere. And this thing I don't understand at all

This was so interesting hearing your reply to this about your work and how you need to understand why her books are so successful. And by successful, I mean through a capitalist lens of selling. Well, it's interesting because I've noticed I have been trying to make more time for certain books that maybe I normally wouldn't just pick up based on my reading habits or actually don't seem all that interesting to me as a casual reader
