In conversation with Ritu Garg Gupta; author of "Mere Hisse Ki Syahi"

The interplay of these words may seem like poetry, sometimes a story at another, perhaps an essay, or maybe a letter. Sometimes they appear scattered and carefree, flowing in various directions, expressing random thoughts. These are some spontaneous reflections written in the form of a small book. If there is something that binds them all together, it is the connection to life. Or one could say these are thoughts submerged in ink, the changing moods and plans of life

In conversation with Ritu Garg Gupta #authorinterview #swellinterview #indiaspotlight @yasaisaiyan9

Hello everyone. So now I welcome Ritu Gal Gupta, who is an author, translator, poet and a devotee of Sai Baba. She regards words as a breath and priceless treasure. Her belief is that understanding every emotion, rhythm and inclination wrapped in the attire of words in the context of place, time and era is highly significant. Through her writings, she aims to establish a profound connection between the author and a reader

Q1. In conversation with Ritu Garg Gupta #authorinterview #swellinterview #indiaspotlight @yasaisaiyan9

Alright, ma'am. So before starting with the questions related to your book, I would like to know a little bit about your personal life. So you have mentioned that you are a devotee of Sai Baba. So can you share more about the inspiration behind your dedication to Sri Sai Baba?

@Manalika

He has in fact affected my book literary because when I das writing this book, at the same time I was getting deep into Sai Sacharitra and all the lessons that I read have affected my thinking and writing. I am also inspired by Baba's life, the way he led his life, he used to say. So from that point of view, I always thought that Baba was truly, truly liberated from any expectations, from the world. He was totally liberated because he didn't want anything

Q2. In conversation with Ritu Garg Gupta #authorinterview #swellinterview #indiaspotlight @yasaisaiyan9

Well, ma'am, that's absolutely amazing. So you basically consider Sai Baba as a role model and as an inspiration. And I believe whenever you have a strong inspiration, you tend to work hard. So I believe that has happened in your case as well. And you have worked really hard and achieved so many milestones. So, ma'am, my next question for you would be. Your writings encase various forms. Like you have poetry, you have written about poetry, story s essays and letters

@Manalika

So when I start writing, I just write and I don't even know how long will I write. And there comes a point where I stop and that's all. I really don't know. This is something like, I don't even know how it goes. So sometimes it takes the poetic form, sometimes at other times I start telling a story in between. Still other times I try to say something and which turns out to be poetic, it rhymes

Q3. In conversation with Ritu Garg Gupta #authorinterview #swellinterview #indiaspotlight @yasaisaiyan9

I will just write, and then I'll see that, yeah, whatever I have written, it has basically created a masterpiece because I did not have any boundaries in my mind. So, ma'am, my next question for you would be, what role does mindfulness play in your creative process, especially in the past five years of your life? Living a life basically with mindfulness and rituality. So how does mindfulness play a role in your life and your creative process?

And also having full confidence in what you're writing, having. Not having the fear of judgment, not being in a hurry, not trying to prove, just enjoying the process. Trust me, when I was writing this book, I was not in any sort of urgent need for an urgent delivery of this work, or the process itself was so soothing. It was so calming that something which I felt was coming, I could see in front of me

Q4. In conversation with Ritu Garg Gupta #authorinterview #swellinterview #indiaspotlight @yasaisaiyan9

So you have not commercialized it, or you don't look at as something which is like a money grabbing scheme, so you don't believe in that things. And I'm really appreciative of this particular fact. So, ma'am, my next question for you would be, you believe that words are your breadth and priceless treasure, right? So how has that influenced your writing style and approach?

@Manalika

So for example, I have a word, for example, I come across a word, there will be a story that will be there in that word that I will want to say. So I will be using that word as an instrument to create a story, a poem. As I said, any writing. So for me, words are the soul of my writing. It's not the idea so much as it is the word

Q5. In conversation with Ritu Garg Gupta #authorinterview #swellinterview #indiaspotlight @yasaisaiyan9

But you, on the other hand, you just, you know, allow yourself to write whatever comes to your mind, and then you just create, like, create a very creative work. That is something which I definitely appreciate about you. So, ma'am, my last question for you would be, whenever we create something, right? Whenever we write something, draw something, make something. Like, in general, if you make something, we always have some pointers in my mind about our audience

@Manalika

So, Manali, very good question. I always feel that my books are about life. And therefore they evoke all sorts of emotions. The same poem can evoke multiple emotions. Multitude of emotions, contradictory emotions, paradoxical emotions. For example, I have written a poem. Mostly my poems are related to life. So life has multitude of emotions. Multifarious ways of presenting itself. Everything counts. In terms of Desh Kal Samaya. This has become my takiyakalam
