Hello, I'm Marietta Pereira from Mumbai and thank you for arranging this podcast. I've just published a book of poems titled a Tapestry of poems and looking back, I would say that it was reading, that it was primarily reading that drew me to writing. My parents were voracious readers and instilled in me a love for books. My dad used to constantly gift me books and also ride to libraries and somewhere along the way I became fascinated with the concept of writing

Hi. That's really interesting story behind it. And about your quote. Yeah, this is good for the writers because I am also there and I do write poem story. Coming to the next question, what is the USP of your book? A tapestry of poems and how this book will connect to the readers

You. The USP of my book would be that it is very relatable. I have not used any bombastic words. I write about life as I experience it. I draw from situations around me, from nostalgia to nature to comedy, love and humor. You will find it all in the tapestry of poems

You. My favorite genre of writing would be poetry and nonfiction. As in articles and blog posts, I like reading both fiction and nonfiction. I have just recently started reading self help books and a mystery and thriller also figure on my list of favorite genres. I admire Ruskin Bond for his Gharka Khana's style of writing, which is simple and straight from the heart. Maeve Binchy is an irish author to whom I look up

Okay, thank you. Ruskin Bonsor is also one of my favorite author. And being a writer, I myself, sometimes, you know, I get fed up of writing the specific terminology for this. You can say writer's block. So have you ever faced writer's block? Or as a writer, how does it feel to be suffering from writer's block and how to overcome from it? It

And the best thing to overcome it would be to just leave it and engage yourself in other activities, like maybe a spot of gardening or go out somewhere or do some painting or anything that you like. Any other hobbies that you have, just engage in them and then go back to the writing after a few days. So you'll find that you will be more productive of
