Compassion Fatigue

And I have also been working on compassion fatigue. For those of you that don't know, compassion fatigue is also known as secondary trauma or vicarious trauma. And I am very passionate not only to talk about the symptoms, the signs and what to look for, but also about the recovery because we do heal

Looking forward!

Wow. That is a smorgasbord that I can get into those topics. Thank you so much. I'm looking forward to hearing your voice here on Swell, looking at all these issues. And as somebody who's really touched them so intimately as a producer and as someone who who's been, unfortunately a victim of these crimes, I think your voice is so strong and it will be so powerful. And I'm excited for it to amplify. I'm particularly excited about the compassion fatigue

If you rape somebody or you murder somebody, it becomes irrelevant what happened to you in your past to lead you to those things. And there's no excuse for doing those things in a million years. No excuse whatsoever. But psychologically and sociologically, it's important and fascinating to study and learn. I think what was gone through, what traumas were suffered just so we can be a more understanding society. Anyway, I had never heard of compassion fatigue. It's very interesting

Hey, Bethany, this is a lot of different topics. I feel like all in one. And thanks so much for sharing, especially from your perspective in so many different ways. I think that we I have so many opportunities with this swell that we can go into so many different directions. And I'd love to hear a little bit more about your experience with the victims, especially. I think that that's really a difficult conversation and experience to have because everyone's situation is very different

@JCB07

Hey, so good to hear from you. Thank you for following and sharing and contributing to my little post. So, yes, as a victim and as a survivor, the man that stalked me and terrorized me when I went to court, I had to sit there in the same space as him. I had to be next to him. It was really upsetting. There's some advocates that are trying to change that. So there could be like a little bit of a room that victims can say
