I wrote my first story just to have something to do with my new typewriter and I just continued to write and write and write and write. I had a lot of things happen in my childhood in my room with the door closed, with my typewriter and my blank pieces of paper ready for anything to take place upon them. It was just a beautiful gift that started me on a path that I've stayed on my whole 48 years. And it served me well
