Your ability to execute, your ability to scale, your ability to deliver results keeps you the job following which competence is independent of the number of people you manage. I find a lot of people think that just because they lead a team of 100 people or 1000 people suddenly they overestimate their abilities. Competence can be found even when you are an individual contributor even if you are probably leading a five member team. And finally, ability is independent of work experience
