The Trifecta - Jim Carrey is Metal AF!

I thought we would go for the trifecta today. Swell for the hat trick or continuing down the path of the examination of the incident between Will Smith and Chris Rock. Now, yesterday I asserted that Hollywood was disgusting, that the standing ovation was abhorrent, and that we no longer need to listen to any of their thoughts again. Well, later in the day, one celebrity, one personality came forward and pulled no punches in his thoughts

And when he won his speech, went up there and spent the time to acknowledge that women are beautiful no matter how they look. And I think that would have been far more effective. And instead he just went the complete opposite direction. Can't sit here and defend that sort of thing. And many comedians and I think you really need to look to the comedians here

And even when there's not violence inflicted on a person or a player or whoever, even if it's totally for fun, those people are arrested, like on the spot, tackled by security. And I think that the Academy was I mean, I'm not talking about the celebrities in person there, but the Academy did not know what to do. They were shocked and failed to respond. And I think it's almost as simple as that

It comes through so many different ways and forms and in so many different industries that I think we're just going to mass hypnosis and houdiniization of society. I have no better term for it

But Unfortunately, Will went the way he went. And I do agree there was a story that broke later. Well, I shouldn't say later that day, the next afternoon, that there were some members of the body there present at the award ceremony and they all agreed to have Will removed from the auditorium and then give his award, I guess an adventure or something like that. But apparently they need all members of this body to agree

And I don't know how we ever come back from this, but that's why I was so elated when I watched Jim Carrey say no, there was no escalation that happened out of nowhere, because that's exactly what happened. And we need to start having more people pushing back that way across the board. Like, no, you're not going to rewrite what we witnessed. You're not going to tell me my eyes played tricks on me. I know what I saw

I found it quite hilarious that Jim Carrey has such a strong reaction to the Will Slap gate. And I get where he's coming from because obviously, he's a comedian and a performance former on stage. And that's one of their ultimate fears is that the audience can be too interactive with the talent. I know hecklers are something they deal with often, and out of that can come good moments. But obviously, being hit by a major movie star icon is something least left to be desired
