Does historical genre attract young Indian readers?

So I just wanted to do this, well to basically know about the mindset of the young readers, basically, especially indian young readers, towards the acceptance of the mythological and historical genre of fictions. So I started my writing journey in 2017. And so I was. My first book was a collection of english poetry named rhythms in solitude. And the book, once it came out, it was basically admired and accepted well by the readers. And the first edition completely got sold off

Contemplating to write a historical fiction as my next. Wondering if the genre would attract Indian readers, especially the younger ones.

You. Thank you for sharing your journey as an author. And regarding your question on the historical genre, I don't know if it would attract genre young indian readers mean, it's difficult to say because, you know, people are more into fantasy these days, the younger readers. So I don't know if it would. I mean, the chances are low. But anyways, you never know if the story can attract

Hello. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. And really, it's of substance, whatever you said. I also agree to the fact that unless and until it is written properly or has got some interesting plot building, it won't work. So that's it. I don't know whether it's worth taking a chance. So we'll try to convince my publisher. Also. Let's see what happens. Anyways, thanks a lot. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Stay well

You. Thank you so much for getting back to me on this. I'm sure your publisher will agree. And, you know, I'm sure you're going to write something historical which would become a bestseller. All the best with your endeavor. And have a lovely day. Bye

So if that effort is not reciprocated by the readers, then obviously it's not a very motivating thing for it's not a very motivating thing for the writer. So thank you for sharing your thoughts. Definitely it's going to help me. Thanks a lot
