What does Guru really mean?

article image placeholderGuru
Hello again. This is Ashish with my next swell for today. And today, I'm going to talk about the meaning of the word guru. So we've heard of marketing gurus, sales gurus, tech gurus. All kind of gurus. The people who really possess that special knowledge, that special skill. And we are excited to learn from them

As for what a guru means to me, I think it means embodiment someone who embodies certain virtues but isn't larger than life, someone who has dealt with the struggles of life and have managed to stay true to who they are and still manage to relate with other people as well, someone who's not too preachy or pretends to know certain things that mere models might not know. I think gurus, in the conventional sense of the term, have not really been appealing to me

And after listening to you, I thought that if there was a one person whom I would consider a guru, who would that be? And you're right, there are times when we find interesting people with the insight and they help us show other path. So other are our gurus for that particular part of our journey. But to me, a guru is like a torch light in the darkness. You hold the light in your hand, but you still have to walk your path

My 2 cents

Personally, I admit I do not have a spiritual guru that I follow, but other very concept of guru is something that I value and appreciate depending on what aspect of life that I am addressing. I do have a lot of people that I look up to, who give me a lot of clarity and help me navigate certain faces of life

So whether it's in the spiritual realm or in the materialistic realm, there are people who are much more experienced and are in a better position to help you navigate that particular journey. Right. And at one point, I refuse to believe that especially in the spiritual realm, there could be somebody who could sort of act as a bridge between me and the Creator. I refuse to put somebody on a pedestal, but since then, I have understood that it is Grace, right
