If you're not careful about how many possessions you keep acquiring, I know I'm guilty of constantly overextending myself and trying to get into a lot of my unnecessary wants, so I'm going to work on that. And your story helped me reminded me rather of how I have this tendency and how I need to take care of it before it gets out of hand. So thanks again. I really enjoyed it. And I'm looking forward to all of you are upcoming swells

Hey Ashish, thanks for sharing this. And I think I'm guilty as charged because I probably am a part of this 99 club that you're talking about. So I'm always on the Hunt for that elusive of contentment looking for something bigger and better in life. And your little story here was a good reminder that made me start thinking about a lot of things that I haven't really thought about in a while

Hello, Ashish. Thank you for this story. I'm always in all of these folktales that bring out so many subtleties and philosophies across in such a beautiful narrative. And I'm really angry with that King who couldn't let his help just be and enjoy his life. Why would he want to implant this idea in his head so mean? And I think as is the case with us, I think even the King was in search of the elusive happiness. Right?

Thanks for the friendly feedback 🙃

Hi, Karan, Ramaya and Srija, thank you so much for taking the time to listen to my swell recording and leaving your thoughts. It was wonderful to hear your feedback back in your reactions to the story on my side. I thought of this story when one of my friends was losing his sleep chasing his crypto dreams. And he's now made it his only goal. So in some ways I think we all belong to the 99 Club, don't we?

Where is this tale from?

Hashish. I really enjoyed this story and I'm wondering if you know any more about its origin. I tried to Google it and every version I found it said author unknown, which makes me think that it's not really a folk tale, that it was probably created as a teaching tale for some community more recently, recent few decades and was passed around via email. But wondering if you know any more about it
