My journey into the world of pyrography...

These are definitely more on the simple side of the spectrum, but I've done more detailed, layered work with Shading and whatnot but you transfer over with like, a graphite paper, the stencil that you want to do. So you trace it out and then you have a special pyro gun. I guess you would call it it's like a pen mixed with a soldering iron, and you can get different. There's beginner ones. There's some very expensive ones that are hundreds of dollars

While I am still most definitely a newbie, wood burning has provided me with a fun creative outlet as well as a meditative practice.

Like you said, you can create plaques, stuff for names and things like that, or you could do coasters. I don't know. It seems very limitless, which is really cool. Thanks for sharing this

Hey, Izzy. So when the weather allowed me to be outside, I would always do it outside. But I had a little desk that I put near a window, and I just kept that open. You wear a mask when you do it. There's not ton of fumes. You do have to sort of take breaks in between the strokes. I like doing a lot of pointillsm with it. So there's not a lot of smoke at all created when you're doing that
