I always thought depression was a result of low Serotonin levels in the brain. I was wrong.
So the conclusion in this article really is that scientists are beginning to think of depression as an umbrella term it's not just one thing just like cancer oncologists nowadays think of cancer as a set of different with similar malignancies but cancer of different diseases. Each cancer need its own kind of specialist its own treatment rather than an umbrella treatment. Similarly, treatments for depression may need to be tailored to the individual. So I found this to be really eye opening up
