Body Autonomy

I had to have a hysterectomy when I was 31 because I suffered from endometriosis. Getting pregnant was really, really difficult for my husband and I. The endometriosis scarred and prevented babies from being able to live and grow and be part of me for nine months. I had a miscarriage. And luckily, through fertility treatments and surgeries, I was able to get pregnant not just once, but twice. After my pregnancies, my second child was born

Yeah, it's really, really scary and really serious because I think the people who are making these decisions are making them as if our bodies were hypothetical, as if it wasn't a very real thing. That affects. That affects a person, that affects the inside of you, that affects your ability to have kids or to not have kids or to lead a healthy life for you and for others. It's really harrowing. And it's hearing these personal stories that I think is very important
