A book I read when I was young that I still recommend to people...

It was just real down home lessons written really from a young person's point of view. And she wrote these books, of course, as an adult. So, Judy Bloom, anything that she's written to the young people, I highly recommend

I love that about reading and the language. The book I will add to this thread is I love you forever by Robert Lunch. And I remember coming across this book after school when I was late elementary, early middle school years. Really late elementary, because in middle school, I was a latchkey kid, so it was late elementary years, and after school, my mother would pick me up and she had to return to the daycare she worked at. And I was her helper in the classroom

I love you forever. I love you for always. As long as I'm living, my baby, you'll be now, the thing is, I don't have a great memory. I say it all the time, but I can always remember the first thing of something that I have repeated a hundred times as a mom and as a nanny. I can't tell you how many times I've come across this particular book and how many families love it

Hi, Jl. So I am flabbergasted that you are not a fan of bloom. Like, I just thought, like, every girl in the world was rushing to the library to check out her books. That is a shocker. But now that I think about it, I don't think my best friend ever read Judy Bloom. And I'm trying to think if my sister even read her. But anyway, thanks for suggesting this book
