Talking political will and #ClimateInfluence in my podcast interview on An Honorable Profession.

And it was wonderful to be interviewed by them on my climate influence topic. So one of the things that we were talking about was the need to draw more attention to successful climate policies. What it takes to hold leaders accountable regardless of their party affiliation and changes that resonate with the community and how to develop political will. The power of sharing climate solutions with neighbors to enact change, creating engagement in small ways that create significant change

So I would probably like to follow your lead and perhaps do something for Earth week. I think I can do that under the guise of naturalist know. I live on the eastern shore. We have the Chesapeake Bay. So it is one conversation at a time. And I think smart brevity is also important for this climate action movement. So on the business side of it, back to my friend Aaron, my new friend, he is into climate action and he's working with businesses

And I know you're going to say, yeah, it's not everybody, but that is the market. From the officials down, everybody's got their hand in it. So this is a money train. This is a money train for a lot of people. And a lot of people are getting rich on this thing. So there's that and nothing is getting done. No rate of return to the rate that it should be to the level of investment

If only I could inspire a person like you in every state to start to be thinking about this and to see the really rewarding opportunity for your community to engage in this and for you because you know your community and what they're responding to and what messages they listen to. You're the one who knows this. You're the expert. If you're intrigued and you do the research and you're kind of interested in these policy, what the policymakers are doing, that's amazing

It's on climate action. I was not able to attend because I had to do some Harriet Tubman thing today, but that's kind of neat. So I responded with trying to hook up with people who did attend and may want to have a conversation with me because I want to learn. So that has happened. And then there were several other things that are happening

@OnAcornBay #ClimateInfluence | Resources: Project Drawdown and Climate Scientist, Katharine Hayhoe

So I could go on, but I just wanted to say yes to that. The other thing I wanted to quickly say is there's a book and a website called Project Drawdown that has lots of information on various sectors with regard to environment and climate. And then there's a climate scientist who is incredible, who I may have mentioned before. Her name is Catherine Hayhoe. H-A-Y-H-O-E. Those are two incredible resources to help you study up, and we will continue this conversation, my friend

Connecting cities around Monarch Butterflies and Dolphins Cape May Point, NJ, Salisbury, MD, Rahway, NJ way to go #ClimateAndrea.

Storytelling as a delivery mechanism is what we do. So I love that that is coming into me. The literary arts is incredibly important. I'm able to get all three universities of higher education in my area as stakeholders to my madness, whatever it is. They're like, shawna, we're just in. What are you selling? Know, that sort of thing. But here's a very cool thing about the Harriet Tubman. Harriet Tubman monument is a traveling monument know I conducted here

And it totally goes with the later is too late to conserve the land and be a good steward of the land, you have to be thinking later is too late and then you act. So I love that. So thank you for sharing that with me. And later is too late. Like you said, it is a good slogan for all of it. And it's such a good slogan for climate because it could just be anything, right?

#ClimateInfluence #ClimateTech WITRegatta.com (Vancouver BC and Seattle)

But it's funny because I've now entered into climate tech and in fact, am moderating a panel on the fusion of tech and climate for an event called the Women in Tech regatta. It sounds like a sailing adventure, but it's actually just kind of a cool branding for a conference. Women in tech, BIPOC, non binary, just like an incredible diversity HR chief people officer kind of amazing event in Vancouver, BC this week. I'm moderating that panel on Friday, February 9

You. I feel like I learned a lot from you guys listening to this. This was really informative. As someone who's been kind of passive on the whole climate change situation, this was really helpful. It's good to see your enthusiasm. Thanks, guys

@MK1981 Building Meaningful relationships #BeTheBeacon

So how do I utilize my leadership space to have the conversation, build meaningful relationships one conversation at a time. And in doing so, I realize that there are a lot of folks in my community that are being incredibly responsible in their own silos. And they are not screaming climate, however, they are being responsible steward of the climate. And I love those folks, and that's me. So it then didn't become so scary
