So I'll back up and say that my personal behaviors had already shifted in a direction where I was riding a bike and I was recycling and doing all kind of the usual things. But it wasn't until I made the connection between my work, kind of communications, public relations, marketing, that sort of thing, and how it could really make a difference, the storytelling and the messaging for climate leadership

But in that moment, I realized I have to do this because I care. And so I went back to grad school and I logged my hours and passed my test and became an architect, which took another eight years to do. And that was really what spurred it for me, is I knew that buildings were such a huge piece of the puzzle, and I knew it was important that the people drawing buildings cared. So that's what did it for me

And then I was in climate and sustainability stuff when I finally was spurred by a friend, just by watching this person to go, why am I not vegan? Why am I not wholly plant based? And so then I did that, and then I ended up sliding into some work on affordable housing and kind of the city of LA and was like, oh my gosh, this has been it for me my whole life
