Hi, Shani. I'm so happy to be talking to you today, especially about my book, Dreaming of Everest. I've been writing from a very young age. One fine day I just picked up a pencil and started scribbling is what my mum tells me. Used to love essay and travel brochure writing in school. One of my earliest memories of writing a short story in a dustbin once and describing it in great detail

Wow. That's a really sweet story. Writing a short story on a dustbin in great details and very unique also. I haven't heard anything like this. I have seen people doodle on on dust wins like kids do. On Dust wins. But this is something else. Basically, we can say you were born a writer. So Saturday, tell me, what exactly inspired dreaming of Everest?

@Aishani

Yes, I think you can safely say that dreaming of Everest came about as a result of my very first multi day, high altitude trek to the base of Mount Everest in the Kumbu region of Nepal. This was in 2019, when I traversed some of the most beautiful, remote lands on Earth. I prepared my body for many months before embarking on this great adventure. What I was not prepared for was the mental endurance and perseverance, which luckily came naturally to me when I was there

A lot of people are of the opinion that if someone is not using the pen as a sword, then there's no point in holding the pen all. But then there's another perspective of art for art's sake. What is your take on this entire debate?

@Aishani

The proverb the pen is mightier than sword does hold true in many cases. We writers actually hold a very powerful position to influence others through our words. Which is why all the more reason to be careful about choosing them responsibly. However, on the flip side, art for art's sake is necessary too. I feel when there's no hidden agenda, you just want to incorporate form, inspire, expand world views, entertain and help people escape into another time and space

Yes, true. With time, this topic just keeps on getting more and more controversial. There art, so many standpoints, so many views, so many perspectives, and I think you have a very nuanced on this topic, yet you explained it in such simple terms. Now, my last question to you would be being a successful marketing professional and author and someone who's extremely passionate about traveling as well, you seem to have a lot on your plate all the time. What keeps you going?

@Aishani

The cool breeze, birdsong, snowy peaks, the passing stream, or just a quiet stream of thoughts in my own head. Autumn is a great time to be there in the Himalayas, so I'm looking forward to that. But what keeps me going is actually my curiosity and drive. Just to know more and to challenge myself more, to see what else is it that I can do. Thank you so much for talking to me today. It's been a real pleasure

I really admire how beautiful and positive a view you have towards life in general, how you're always on the lookout of what's meant, this attitude of welcoming things into your life and going with the flow, going wherever life takes you. I think it's really a beautiful way to move forward in life. And yes, likewise, it was an absolute pleasure talking with you. I had a really good time and I am going to check out the book myself

Hey. So I loved this well, and I was amazed throughout it and how I won't be. You have been writing since you were a kid. Wow. And I completely agree with Alani. You were born to be a writer, and I'm someone who who loves to travel myself. And Mount Everest has been on my bucket list, and I don't quite remember. It has been years, and it's like people in the mountain region are very good and kind, generous

Hi Divya. Thanks for your comment. It's really nice to hear from another nature lover and somebody who is fond of the mountains, so I completely agree. The kind of people you meet high up there where just the simplicity and the values that they have is amazing, and it gives you another perspective to our own lives actually, when we come back to the cities. I'm really happy that you're going to read my book and I can't wait to hear what you have to say

And when it is asked about writing over the topics, over the things which we want to write over, then we are also being asked to have some important headings or something which is going through. So I would love to ask you one thing that's is it mandatory to go through the sincere topics when you are in a complete mode of writing? I would love to know the answer to this question from your side. Man

I will read out some excerpts and put them up on my own account in the coming days. So do look out for that. Coming back to my writing. So, yes, I used to write as a child, but I did stop in between. So there were many years where I did not write a word

You felt that I should follow it, I should not stop in between as I have gone through so many hurdles. But that's not a big deal. This is the only thing which is helping me and which is heading me towards my goal. Please share, ma'am

Hi. So, yes, there are many difficult goals that all of us set up for ourselves. And in my case, it was the trek to the Everest Base Camp. It was a 130 kilometer, a great adventure into the foot of the highest mountain. And, of course, like I said earlier, I had reservations about it. Will I make it? Will I not make it? And of course, my body was ready

Wow. Just lovely words. The words which are really telling that whenever the hurdle you are facing in the way of your goals, just keep aside them and move on with the dedication towards your goal. It was such an awesome experience. While talking to you, Ma'am, I really get a lot of things to know and also to inspire myself from your side, from your votes. Thank you so much. Bye

Ishani this whole interview was very very interesting and I was listening to this and throughout, you know, whenever a more experienced people talk in front of you and you like really stare at them and observe and imagine what they're talking about and looking onto them and learning your head. I was being that kid throughout. It was very good
