And during the pandemic, during the lockdown, amidst the pandemic, when the entire nation was trying to elevate their culinary skills, I was too busy doing that. And my friends and family, looking at my creation, motivated me and said I should take it to another level and I should do it professionally. And that's how Matt and Ladder was born. So it is my lockdown, baby. I can save Matern. Ladder is my Instagram page. And that's how it all started

Well, for a venture that started during the pandemic, not even completely two years ago, I think Matt and Laurel has been doing amazing. What do you find to be the most challenging aspect of being a food and lifestyle blogger or influencer? Of course, apart from getting to sample all those wonderful new recipes

So we don't fix our fitness regime. We don't get to fix our fitness regime. We deviate ourselves from our fitness goals. That is of this segment and the other segment where I create recipes. Well, a recipe that I can make in just 15, 20 minutes takes about 45 to 60 minutes sometimes because there are a lot of prep that goes behind each shoot that we do. Apart from the shooting and editing part, there is a lot of preparations that we need to do

Well, that does sound like a lot of work. And about attending the evens, I mean, it's almost like you're always alert. A part of you is always a part of you, has to be always ready to just get going. And I mean, yeah, that has to be really taxing. Pooja with so many bloggers and Instagrammers out there trying to make it as an influencer, how do you ensure that your content is unique and it stands out

I try to make as much as possible. I try to make comfort food. I share comfort recipes so people can relate to it. No matter kit nappy, they eat pizzas and pastas, they get back to this and they can relate to my recipes because that is soul food, right? That is what we Indians crave. So, yeah, this is my way of keeping my content a little unique

You used to click a lot of food pictures wherever you went or whenever you were eating out or something. But what would you say are the keys to taking such great food photographs as you do

And I realized that this is how we need to do and this is how food is presented, that we should involve some props, some backdrop, some napkins, some spoons. We need to add elements and not just the dish. But I would like to share an incident here to prove that I was such an immature in food photography. I remember in my initial days, I collaborated with the brand. It was a coffee brand

So yes, you can upgrade yourself. As in when you learn, you can buy lights, you can buy fancy backdrops and you can buy props as well. To fit into the element of the photography, start with. All you need is a good natural daylight and a decent phone which has a good camera and which will do justice to the dish that you have. And for editing, you can also edit your pictures

Well, thank you so much for the tips. Bougie. I'm pretty sure this is going to help a lot of people who are maybe aspiring influencers and maybe just people who are interested in general in photography. What's next on the menu for you in terms of experimenting with new prisons? Are there any dishes that you're dying to try? Also lastly, I would like to ask what strategic advice do you have for up and coming Instagram influences

Other than that, it is no other recipe that has made it big on the internet. Whereas their cuisine is very, very circumcious. It's very nourishes, it's delicious. And I don't know why people don't share it or don't talk about it as much as they do with other Indian cuisine. That's quite sad. So I am going to come up with more such cuisines, which are rather untold and unspoken about. So, yes, that is on my card

So this is the advice that I would like to give them all and I hope there are more and more creators coming up with passion and do what they wanted to do and not blindly follow the trend or what others do
