That one time I got to stare the cops in the eye.
You get used to the intimidation you feel or project upon others. In this case, standing at their podium in front of the room at this major university, speaking with these. Speaking to and with these police officers, detectives, et cetera, and looking them right in the eye and saying, this is how it is. And wondering in the back of my mind, are these guys judging me, or do they believe they're better than me?
Hey, Steven, thanks for sharing your story, man. I also really dig the prompts here on swell. It's really made taking that first step easier since they've started doing that, but this is a cool one. I agree, man. I used to take speech classes to learn to speak better, and it definitely has made me eat less overwhelmed, but still very be anxious, if that makes sense
