Moving thoughts

Enjoy moving into new spaces and the minimalism that comes with it at the beginning and then you get to create a space, a home, a safe place for you and the people you live with and also just the environment around you changes as well. So I had a question for everyone wondering if you have any thoughts on moving, but more particularly if you have any memories from moving. Maybe you moved a lot as a kid, maybe you didn't

Nyc to SF

And I kind of looked in The Village Voice and looked for a ride across the country, and I found one, at least to Missoula, Montana, and that was a crazy, crazy ride and then flying from there. And I just remember the idea of visualizing leaving things behind and moving towards the sort of the new frontier and kind of allowing the move to be metaphorical for me and letting go of stuff and embracing sort of the mystery and feeling really bold

Yeah. So this is my first time on this app, and I just kind of stumbled into this conversation, but I'm not sure if I found it an interesting question right off the bat or not. It the more I thought about it, I suppose I felt like as a young person, as a kid, I was forced to move often. My dad was a big industry, and we moved around the country, and so it was kind of certainly the norm for me

Hi Jack. Thanks for sharing this and starting this conversation. Yeah, I have moved around a bit, I think hard to pick a moving story. I think that affected me the most because I really can go back to each of them and remember them so vividly. I know, like my first move from my parents house to College was a huge, huge change in shift

It is hard to pick a story. But again, like Deb said, it sounds like you've always got chapters of your life to find a little bit there by routine. I thought it was funny you're talking about moving back home. I'm definitely not anywhere near ready to move back to my hometown, but at the same time it will always be home in a sense. Since when?

When I lived in Iowa, I moved to a lot of different cities and towns, and it was an amazing experience. And I love being in a minimalist, and I love gaining new things and new knowledge, and it was just a wonderful experience. I wish I was able to move a lot more and just experience life more. I ended up getting married and having a child, and so my husband definitely has different views on moving

Hey, Katie, thanks for Jopping on and sharing. Yeah, it's great to hear everyone's different perspectives. Like I said, some people moved a lot. Some people not at all. You were saying you wish you'd moved a little bit more someone earlier I was saying saying that they kind of had forcibly moved a lot younger in life. So I guess it's all up to perspective
