Law of attraction

article image placeholderUploaded by @zejacques
So I'm going to pass it over to Tommy to give the little recap. Yeah, some of my biggest takeaways from the podcast audio book. I've actually had it for years and years and listened to it many, many times, always learned something new. Basically, they mentioned how important the use of language is and how important the emotion with the language that you're talking about evokes

The science of attracting more of what you want, and less of what you dont want #allowing #manifestation #lawofattraction

Hey, Jack and Tommy, thanks so much for this. This was really awesome and I can't wait to like listen to more of your guys'posts and like just listen to more of what you guys are sharing because I love it. I really like I really do. And I post similar content on my I Swell cast just like on the Law of Attraction and the power of language and the words you use and what you tell yourself and whatnot. So love that

@cassidywat like minded people ☺️

But another philosophy is saying, oh, you're always insatiable and the craving itself is keeping us entrapped. And Law of Attraction just glosses over that completely and thinks that once you're conditionally relieved because certain things in your life are lining up, then everything will be great. But everything is subject to impermanence. Everything is subject to change. You're going to change, the circumstances going to change. So that's just one aspect. But I still do think it's helpful

🤔

What if you had bad thoughts and it produced the happy chemicals? This must be why serial killers kill. They manifest victims and what do you know? They feel they have a right to kill because why else would the victim just come to them? Sure, they had to manipulate the victim and ruin their trust but they manifested that energy and they had positive thinking and they thought about it every day how they're going to kill their victims and bam. Or it doesn't work that way

Oh, I should mention that I did get two books published by a major publishing company, Holds McMillan. And I believe I owe it all to the law of attraction. But when you say yourself I'm the best selling author, it does create a little grain of doubt. But when you say, now, I never knew what to do with that because I wanted there to be no doubt, and I resented that it created doubt when I would say those things to myself

When capitalism meets spirituality @FryedOreo

I'm not here to win you over, but I did want to just make a comment on where you were poking it a little bit. Poking fun at the law of attraction in the sense of, oh, I want a billion dollars, or I want really beautiful female, or whatever, if it's a little out there or far fetched or seems out of reach, like, let's say I want a billion dollars, but I'm just an everyday person that makes a livable wage

@ZLisbon @cassidywat 💞

I've used a lot of attraction before, but right now there's some things I'm trying to achieve or change in my life and I know there's a little doubt in the back of my mind, even if it's just what's the term when you're kind of just talking down to yourself but just negative self talk. There's a little bit of that there where I'm like, I know what I want, I'm working hard towards it, as in making actions day to day

@zejacques the problematic nature of "wishing" yourself out of poverty and those of privilege who aren’t struggling as hard benefit from your hopes.

Are they doubting too much? And again, that's why I bring up instances of that serial killers, they don't doubt, but they can kill people with their law of attraction. So I think it's just a fancy way of saying again, if you think positively, therefore positive actions will follow. And I get it. We learned that in grade school. It's not like breaking science for me. But I guess now we live in a society that kind of is predatory of fear

What about privilige! @FryedOreo

Thank you so much for bringing up that point around privilege. I'll get back to that. But, you know, in terms of the whole law of attraction thing and it being elementary to you, I totally get it. I think we can just say that you you don't it's not your thing and it's other people's thing and then kind of leave it at that. I feel like we've covered it enough

@zejacques

Hey, thanks for asking. So it's a series or I guess a book and a sequel. Fake plastic girl and fake Plastic world. And the first one is about murder mystery of a girl in Sutton, Los Angeles. A celebrity Lindsay type girl who killed her. And in the second one, the detectives believe that the murderer is her best friend, Justine. And so then the second book needs to be a trial, sort of a courtroom drama

And so the moment that you put or insert the negative word, then that's what you create. So if I say my deposition will not interfere with me starting my own personal, private business, then guess what? Your ideal position now creates this polarizing effect where you're not able to have that time. So there is so much power in that. Bye

@Her_Sisu

So thank you and you kind of inspired me to write down my manifestations again because it really helps and you can continually to refine them. I look forward to having more conversations with you and thanks again for jumping on as well

@corinneisabella

And that's one of the things I really like about Swell. So I hope you have fun continuing to explore for other conversations. It's really interesting to hear that you home schooled your children and I'm sure they are destined for greatness because you've already manifested it, right? But no, I always wonder what it would have been like to be home schooled. And I think it's cool that you are teaching them how to speak and the importance of words and language from an early age

@MarciMelzerWOC

The words are so important and the actions that we speak to and my perspective on this is just in full agreement. But I like the way that you described how you. Through our own spoken words. US as parents or parents. Can bring out or come to bring to the foreground the child's intention through action and then just through even a few words. There can be a more open conversation around that. So definitely understand what you're saying and think it's really cool

And just thanks for sharing about your nibblings. They are so fortunate to have someone like you in their life who's able to just reflect their brilliance so that they feel heard and yeah, yeah, can I learn like you do to attract everything wonderful in their life? So I can't wait to hear what you've got to say too. I'm sure I'll be following

Like, when you're sitting in the bullpen and you're hearing everyone and you're hearing the buds are go off and you're going through all of these approaches in your mind, like, you're thinking through and really visualizing that race and the techniques that you should be really trying to focus on. Or like on my down kicking breaststroke, I want my legs to really snap together, and I want to pop my hips up

And, yeah, let me know where you're at with Rich Dad, Poor dad, and where you're at with your investment journey and building wealth, because that could be a whole other thread that maybe we should start
@AbsolutePhenom

It's up to you.. what you put out there is what you will receive!

I had basically given up my home, meaning, I believe I gave up on myself as well. And so my home is being me, the love that's in me and the people around me, my family. But the whole time that I was not with them, all I wanted was to be back there. And I went through a great depression in that. But it came about that I did get my family back completely
