French publishing house asks wannabe authors to stop sending manuscripts.
One silver lining of this strange time is that writers are finding more time to write. According to this article, French publishing house Gallimar recently put out a message to want to be writers on their Twitter handle. Stop sending us your manuscripts. Of course, they were very polite about the whole thing, citing the exceptional situation that we find ourselves in. But with successive covid 19 Lockdowns having given budding writers the time to finally work on that idea of theirs for a novel or to Polish up an old manuscript

But absolutely with the pandemic, people have just been like, oh, it's pandemic. I'm going to write a book. And yeah. So a lot of people are just writing, and I don't know if it's just like, oh, I have time. I'm just going to write. Is it like a lifelong dream? I don't know. And then there's the writing. How many people can really write and cannot write?

Oh, yes. Hi again. I just wanted to send my thanks gratitude to Ramia for the link. Actually, I'm about to look at it. I'm sure it's really good. Yeah, that's about it. I'm very eager to see what self publishing offers, and I don't have any more questions. I just wanted to say thank you. And I will be looking into more about writing and publishing. And so, yeah, I'll be listening to your post
