FEATURE: Billie Eilish: ‘To always try to look good is such a loss of joy and freedom’

article image placeholderBillie Eilish: ‘To always try to look good is such a loss of joy and freedom’
If I feel good about myself, I shouldn't spend so much time worrying about what people feel about what I look like. I should just celebrate what I look like in my mind, in my heart and then walk out into the world that way. And I think it's so liberating and so healthy, especially for someone her age. She just turned 19. She's been in the spotlight and she's been like, 15. So she's got a lot to say about it

Too much clothes- you are "fat". Too little clothes- you are a "slut". https://s.swell.life/SSexDDeHjv3P1H4

But if that's really what you just wanted to wear. Hey, man, knock yourself out. None of my problem. But that's the only time I care. I remember Joan Rivers used to do that show. And again, it was one of these things. It was just absolutely nauseating to me. Where they go? Oh, look at what she's wearing

A rant! My rage mode was on for this one 🤣

But on the other hand, if you are very skinny, if you're having ABS, you are deemed perfect and flawless and beautiful. And that's just so sad because we live in a world like this. And the media puts in all the stuff in our heads and the heads of little kids who are born confident. But after watching all this stuff, they just get insecure

thank you!

And then she just stands out and she's herself. And I love that so much about her and everyone else. Whoever her younger viewers who look up to her, I think they definitely learn a lot from that. I loved this well about body image and things like that. And I also love really ilis

Hey, Dia, I agree with every single word you just said. I think both of us see a lot of things the same way. And we have a lot of similar opinions and views. So maybe we should start open Swell Cast about Gen Z. It can revolve around GMC and stuff. Maybe you can come to private messages and we can talk about it more. But yeah, thank you

@Joylove let it ripple rip!

I find that I someone in Billy's position who has the ability to speak her truth, emboldened all of us to speak ours. And it's a beautiful ripple. Let it rip

But you make sure it's you. I don't wear something that's completely not me. Sorry, I'm on a busy road. But also when I'm out of my training gear and I get a chance to not wear something different. And that comes down to watches, shoes, sunglasses, jeans, the shade of jeans, T shirts, shirts, suits, whatever. And however, that makes me feel. But mostly it's about me expressing who I am

Interesting

It must be quite tough, right. Even though I'm saying it's, I don't have to think about that about seizing old people because I'm not in the spotlight. But for instance, I wouldn't turn up in a training session in a pair of jeans and a T shirt. To me, it would make the trainer I would look stupid

Definitely a rant. It makes me so sad that anyone gets to be a critic.

But also now you're subjected to all this critique and judgment. And the internet is amazing for so many reasons, because you can really Eilish. I don't know what her story is and how she came up and became popular, but I know I can go on the Internet right now and find out all these things. I want to find out about her. So we have so much access
