Since 2020, she has been instrumental in shaping a network for the artisan ecosystem called Creative Dignity. I'm delighted to welcome Meera Goradia on to Swell to talk to us about Creative Dignity, the vision and the journey of how this collaborative space for the artisan ecosystem in India came about

And that was also the expertise of the young people, as a result of which even the younger generations of artisans started participating, the youth who maybe earlier would have kept away from the traditional occupations of their parents, but they also started participating. And it became a really very vibrant sort of network. And the community grew over the last two years. And what was really exciting was that the network brought together the diverse players of an informal ecosystem, which the craft sector is

And also, what were the challenges that you faced in getting so many people from diverse backgrounds, but with a shared passion for a cause, come to and bring their best to the table? How was that experience? How was it all unfolding, even now?

They are all struggling also in their own ways. Firstly, the bandwidth has gone down to engage. Secondly, there has to be something very clear and achievable which does not tax people's time too much, which gives that energy rush. And the energy rush really comes out of feeling that you're all part of something bigger than yourself at a very deep level. All of us feel that, feel this need to be part of a larger good
