Forging friendships in a remote work environment

article image placeholderwork-4151767_1280.jpg
Good morning. How are you all set for Wednesday? One aspect of Working from home that I miss are those banters by the Coffee Marshall, fun events and lunch outings with colleagues. Essentially, friendship from Work work. I miss the opportunity to connect with people from different media who I might not have come across. If not for work, will remote work affect how we bond as friends? What kind of investment forging forging friendships in a remote work environment, take what are your thoughts?

I think the world is really suffering right now, and I think we have to reinvent the water cooler and look at the people living near us who are working in different companies and forging sort of coffee time water cooler walks with them, as opposed to another Zoom buddy system where you say in a forced kind of way. Okay, let's have some downtime because it's still on a device

Physical breaks, bonding experiences, resting your eyes

This is such a great question. I have been missing working in an office in many ways, one just having that divide between work life and home life, even though I'm someone who tends to merge them anyways, because I usually really care about my work, but just the physical breaks in the day. I find it much harder, and I think it's the same with friendships, like when I had my first real office job after College in San Francisco

So though we are all on different trajectories for personal and professional growth, it's undeniable that the seeds were sown from our work relationships in the past and where we might have shared a common purpose, even if across functions and not essentially from the same team
