Will Elon Musk get a taste of his own medicine? Madhavan N’s opinion piece in The Quint

article image placeholderTwitter Layoffs, Paid Ticks: Will Elon Musk Get A Taste of His Own Medicine?
Besides building an image as a champion for free speech, nevertheless playing to the right wing gallery, Musk has also used the Levi. The Twitter as a listed private sector enterprise provided him to not just enter the fray but also conquer the narrative in many ways. He talks about how the essential goal of Twitter, you know, as a platform for open public discourse could have perhaps been better nurtured by Jack Dorsey, by looking at investments from public institutions, public money right

The tweet is out there

Hey, thanks so much for sharing this article. I have a couple of observations about this Twitter development and probably categorized in the following three buckets. One is the financial aspect of it. Second is the geopolitical aspect of it. And the that is of course, a subset of it is the cultural aspect. Or one could argue that the geopolitical aspect of it is a subset of the cultural aspect or cultural impact of Twitter. Now, let's talk about the financial impact

But whatever it is, it seems to be pretty clear that Twitter is never going to be the same. But from what I'm reading, the sheer amount of shock value that Mask is creating is itself driving curiosity and more users to the app. Ever since his takeover, there is talk of Twitter transitioning into a more creative focused platform similar to Instagram, especially with Mask hinting at bringing in videos

Because he's the owner now, and owner would mean that he is the decision maker. Will Twitter go down? I don't see that happening. Because whatever said and done, Twitter is a great platform. It is well entrenched and people like to be on Twitter, not just to tweet, but also to read. We'll see what happens. Thanks so much once again for inviting me. Bye

What Elon is doing, like some of his businesses I still believe are actually overrated. There are things which is already happening around. But I don't know, he should be given a credit of doing something like really bold. But sometimes I believe he is overrated and even this whole Twitter saga is kind of the same thing. He's talking about this. He went for this whole hostile takeover

Not servers, but if they get a bad BGP update, they're screwed. Twitter is going to go down, and that will probably be the wake up call, so to speak. And it has happened in every company that Musk has taken over that wake up call thing. So I don't think he'll get a taste of his own medicine. I mean, people are going to told him, yes, that's a given. That's Twitter and their audience in general

So, of course, that apart, I agree with what Biddy you have to say about him being a disruptor in that sense. And I guess with all this going on, tesla probably the staff at Tesla might be relieved that he has something else to sort of focus on at this moment in time. But, yeah, let's wait and watch.
