Tone of Voice Issues

I read something about priming on psychology.com. I don't know if I can find the history. It's not my browser. Yeah, priming on Psychology Today, apparently. For example, priming is a phenomenon in which exposure to one stimulus influences a person's response to those subsequent related stimulus. These stimuli are often conceptually related words or images. Like, if someone reads the word doctor, they'll be faster to recognize the word nurse

If it's like work people and you can't avoid them, just say less words around them. Just say what you need. Get what you need from them as far as work is concerned. And that's it. Don't stay around those people. If these are like friends or something, I don't know, man, because it's just hard, because it can be a whole bunch of different things

Hey, I really like the comment that you made. And I plan on answering. Zaire not answering, but replying back. But I'm at a friend's house hanging out with her and her kids. And I'll be able to reply in a little bit. Yeah, be blessed, blessed

Wow. Thank you for posting this because I can a hundred percent relate. I have been on both ends of this. So. Okay. I I do get told a lot that when I talk, people don't know if I'm I'm being serious or if I'm joking. I think I tend to just talk in the same kind of tone. And I know that really confuses people and has upset people before, too

Thank you for sharing this. And I actually was trying to find this podcast that I listened to like years ago. I don't even remember where it was from, but I was trying to find it to post here. I think it was an NPR maybe this American Life I can't remember, but I try to Google it and I can't. If I find it, I'll post it back here

And also a thing called priming, which means, for example, if you read the word doctor and then later on read the word nurse, you're going to read and recognize the word nurse a lot faster than you had initially recognized the word doctor and put together with what I know about this person. I actually wrote them an article about our situation. Well, more about the science behind why I feel like this became a problem. And I gave it to them last night
