And so we feel like I just don't know if someone's going to understand what I'm trying to do or where I'm coming from. So it can be hard sometimes for us to open up or really allow anyone into our space, even though as artists, one of our most intentional things is to share because that's what we really want to do. We want to share with everybody

It can be challenging because, like you said, those thoughts do come up, like, are they going to like it? Or even if they like it, are they going to get it? Because a lot of times when I share my pieces, I look for emotion. I don't necessarily look for smiles and even claps. I don't necessarily look for claps or applause, but I look for emotion
