Third Culture Kids

article image placeholderUploaded by @Vera
The TCK frequently built relationships to all of the cultures while not having full ownership in any. And although the elements from each culture may be assimilated into the TCK's life experience, the sense of belonging is in relationship to others of a similar background. And maybe it helps to say that my husband himself is a TCK, and so are his brothers. And I consider myself to be a TCA, a third culture adult

Your recommendation? Please tell me more..

Hi, Vera, I am a teacher student who will be working in Australian school in the near future. I found this was really interesting and I just wanted to ask you like, what do you think? Are these special needs or consideration? That third culture kids should be getting given from their teachers or to the schools, like within the education sector

I've had Jewish friends who completely stopped talking to me either because of political beliefs, because I'm Iranian, and they find out I'm Iranian. It's weird because I think that especially at a young age, kids just want to have that sense of belonging. And it was interesting growing up, I had friends that were Israeli, we're Armenian, we're Persian, we're Jewish, we're Mexican, we're all sorts of things

Third Culture Parent

I certainly would look into it to learn a little bit more about maybe understanding better the men they became based on the third culture life that they lived. But I'd love to hear from them from Jeff and Mike and Peter and will be most interested in listening to stories from other Third culture kids who I hope respond to the topic that you introduced. Thanks very much

@Taylor check out my new post on Cross Culture Kids

Hi, Taylor. Thank you so much for your response. I made a new topic today about crosscultural kids, and I think you might recognize yourself even more in that. I think recognizing kind of that misunderstanding, that feeling of being misunderstood makes sense when you see what your background is and your parents background and your connections with friends in the world. I hope that these topics help you kind of research more and recognize more about what that has meant and means in your life today

Also, they may have picked up elements of various cultures during their life. The cultural differences in interacting in a classroom, understanding a little bit like where they come from and what cultural aspects are dominant for them. And what I'll be talking more about during this week is transitions has a huge impact on them often and not all TCK's experiences. But many TCKs often quite regularly

But correct me here where if I'm wrong, I'd be more than happy to have a little more knowledge onto it because knowing the fact that you deal with more kids, that today's kids are way too fast and lack of sensitivity is definitely there because it's not embedded like what we did. So that's what I think across a third child, third culture kids. Cheers. Hallelujah
