Disney closes Star Wars Galactic Hotel

article image placeholderUploaded by @Urbanlegends
It allowed guests to live out Star War fantasies, taking part in lightsaber training or droid racing competitions. Lessons in sabak an inuniverse card game were available and story moments were provided should you choose your own adventure action. The stay also included a transport shuttle to the Star Wars section of the Disney Hollywood studios and its two rides and its themed meals. Disney touted some of its innovations with that project, including creating a real lightsaber concocting new otherworldly flavors in its food and drink section

I mean, they do have some cool stuff, but people, your working class family that are already spending ungodly amounts of money to go to Disneyland to begin with, they're then forced to acknowledge this emotional part of themselves, this nostalgia in themselves, and say, hey, I'm not going to come back anytime soon. Maybe I should buy this $500 collectible. And I think Disney had this in mind when they created the Galactic Star Cruiser Hotel

They ask too much

Riding carnival rides and eating standard snacks. No, it wasn't Disney, but we had just been at Disney, and those kids love all those properties. We all grew up on Disney. But it hurt in there. It hurt in there spending the money we had to spend to do the littlest things in Disney World. They want too much, they ask too much of all of us. All these experiences. Ah, I guess that's that's all I got to say on this for now

And you mentioned taking your family somewhere else when I was out in Orlando for my honeymoon. So we went to Universal as well, just the regular Universal Studios theme park and had a great time. I mean, it's obviously kind of comparable to Disneyland, but I don't think they stuff as many people in there as they do Disney World
