Skate Parks, Respect & Autonomy

article image placeholderUploaded by @UnschoolingCrew
There's always this trial and error, always this resilience about keep going, keep trying, because it is possible, right, for you to twist or flip or whatever you're trying to do. But it is all these qualities that we seek in human beings working together, giving space, autonomy, respect, all of that. You can find them at a skate park. Definitely take a moment to go there

Skate parks were never a thing but my youngest son discovered them and we are now regulars. #parenting #learning #unschooling

I've always found them so fascinating. And and there there's some skaters that I met there that are just like absolute angels and it's so beautiful. Yeah, I love the skate park. I love watching skaters do their thing. And yeah, I recently watched this documentary on YouTube that I forget now what it's called, but it was about this skate park that kind of sprung up really randomly during the pandemic

You. Hi. Thank you so much for your answer. I totally agree with you on the lack of balance. I have tried, and it's just not a pretty sight. But also on what you mentioned on how the community is inside the skate park. It is really amazing though, and how people are like, when you said about looking out for each other, it's like you learn to work together, but you also learned to work as an individual and working on your talents
