Parenting kids with needs

But I had to go through it. And there are some things that you have to go through and do the research so that you can be the best parent for your kid and they can have the best outcome. So as we did the research, we begin to find things that he could have. And it was it's still a process till this day. My son, my oldest son is eight years old. We're still learning. Every day is a process

There is no blue print you have to go through

And I've had friends who have been through similar things as well with kids diet and their needs and figuring it out. And it's so frustrating when yeah. When you don't have the help and if doctors are saying one thing. But I just I appreciate this. And I'm gonna tag a couple of the parents I know here on Swell who are amazing. There's a really great community of parents on here

Part 1

And I heard someone say, even if you have more than one child, each child is an individual, and you aren't able to parent that child the same as another child. Then I heard someone else say, even with that child, each year, each moment, each experience is a new experience year moment with that person

Allergies??!!!

We were standing outside because, you know, you can't have food in an allergy office. And so we were standing outside and she came to retrieve us and she saw him nibbling on the Reese cup. I mean, this woman snatched it from his hand and was like, he cannot have that. This is what we have to talk about. And she ushers us in

I think there's been a couple of times where I had yelled at my kids a little too harshly. And as a parent, some parents, the era I grew up in, they were not apologizing. Even though they were wrong, they were not apologizing. I might be just maybe a little bit younger than you. I was born in 1986. But I, as a parent, have learned that apologizing helps the child, especially when you've been wrong

Wow. Food allergies. Yes. Man with my oldest, starting with my oldest, I am going to do another recording in regards to my other two children, but I was talking about my oldest at first. Like I said, we found out when he was ten months old, and then we had this rash on his face. It was very inflamed all the time

Well, I'm going to talk about my middle son first, and I'll talk about my daughter another night, but it's difficult, and we're constantly on a learning curve with children. And like I said in my other reply to the other lady, that my oldest son is like the test dummy, and it's hard. I hate that, but it's like he's trial and error
