You choose a faster shutter speed the same way when you're shooting in during daylight. At night, when the light is low, you can choose a longer shutter speed so the shutter is open for a longer time, right? So the third component is called the ESO or the ISO. So this basically is the light passes through the lens and the shutter opens. And once the light is exposed on the sensor, the sensor amplifies the signals received before it saves as a file

So the ESO or the ISO introduces electronic grains or what we call noise in the image. So most photographers usually avoid increasing the ISO while while taking photos. But most modern cameras right now support a high range of ISO only. You will have to try these different settings to see what works well. It depends on what camera you're using and also the lighting settings on the scene that you're working on. So you'll have to practice to understand completely

Hello sir. These are some really amazing insights and I never knew that the camera worked this way. I'm more on clicking photos with phones rather than DSLR or something like that because I don't have one and I don't carry one. Even if I had, I wouldn't carry one to every place I go. So for me it would be more insightful if you gave tips about clicking photos with phone cameras rather than I Bslr ones. No doubt. Their quality is just so amazing

But while the latest cameras are getting pretty good at it, there is still the situations where you cannot use automatic mode. For example, imagine the scene where you're on the beach and there is a sunset behind you and you're trying to take a photo and you see that the background is too bright and the subject might be dark. It's because of how the camera sees the setting. When there are two objects, right?

So if you take a look, there's something called the pro mode where you have all these settings. If you really want to do something different in photography, you might have to learn all of these. You're talking about the movies being made on smartphone. They don't shoot movies in the automatic mode on your smartphone. You have special applications which is used to shoot these movies. And the basic laws of photography remains the same no matter what the device is
