Have You Gone Into Your Dark To Power up Your Light?

article image placeholderUploaded by @DBPardes
I really want to talk about this with everybody in terms of experiences that you've had, where you've had dark moments and through that place, through touching that place, you've moved through it, and then you've found the light again. I don't know any life that doesn't have this. I think recognizing it, though, as the elasticity of our souls is really beautiful, as the ability for us to really have that expansive life

I think that the biggest eye opener of this quote for me was that once you give up trying to make everything perfect all the time, you get to embrace the messiness of your life and you can say, you know what, it's okay that I am a train wreck. It's okay that my kids were in the same pants for three days. Like, I'm not failing as a mother for that

Kendy, that's so true. I really could relate to that. And I do notice that when you're talking about noticing or recognizing a trauma response or something where you can say, hey, wait, I know what that is, or at least know enough to stop

And I have to say I really feel like the therapy itself, my therapist, is so good that I really have been able to go through a tunnel from dark to light, working on kind of all of these negative thoughts I have about myself and about the world and sort of facing them, looking at them, which I've never done, I've been too afraid to do. I've been very brave with this particular therapist

And then when there's no light, you don't know what to follow. But in this sort of scenario, especially the Bioluminescence scenario, where we don't have any light, but they do lighting us in their way, it's just a great thing that kind of comes back to that idea of trusting a process that feels non intuitive in a lot of ways because you want to go towards the light

And Zara. I just love the way you talk about your struggle and your Paulin and how eloquent and how you just make it sound like a story. You're a beautiful speaker. So I just just whatever you're doing in therapy, it's working. And it's just amazing to hear because I do remember for myself a time where I felt like my life was hopeless and everything just felt dull. And I felt like I was a loser
