Would you get married at first sight? πŸ’πŸ€΅πŸΌπŸ’

So last night when I was working on some projects, I started it and to be honest, I'm kind of hooked. And my friends and I have been joking a little bit that I would do really well on a show like this, which I find sort of offensive. I don't totally know what that means because I feel like people on reality TV shows are often just mocked, but they said they think I'd be good just because I would really try

As someone who was once married, not at first sight, but after several years of being with a person, I can give an emphatic helmet to your question. I learned through that experience that it is incredibly difficult. You don't know people. You think you know them. I mean, look, how many people ever got married thinking, oh, this is going to go terribly. There's not a whole lot of that. You go in thinking, this is going to be great

What’s the worst that could happen?

I would have to say yes. Joe's response kind of swayed me a little bit to the no side, but I'm just this is my nature to be interested in those, you know, five or cracker connections. Yeah, maybe hot and interesting for like a couple of seconds, but who knows what the rest of the connection could develop into? I don't know. I'm just that type of person, I guess, to be interested in those types of things

And they go through, like a very intensive vetting process where there's three quote unquote experts, like counselors and all these people who do a deep dive into all these people's backgrounds, religious beliefs, political beliefs, their goals and dreams for the future in terms of kids, finances, et cetera. So I do think there is a lot of thought put into that. And I think the idea is like a modern day kind of arranged marriage. Yeah

But either way, it's an experience, I assume on the show that they pick your spouse and they probably do it based on maybe your personality, like answers to a question to a quiz or something. And maybe that's like the best way to do it. Like if somebody chooses for you, because maybe it's more objective and they would actually choose someone compatible. Because some of us just don't pick the right people because we see things differently

Joe, I'm just catching up on this. And you were cracking me up and saying that you could throw a Dart into your crowd and it would probably have gone better than your marriage. Sorry to hear that, but I'm also grateful how much you made me laugh. And it just really makes me want to see you go on a reality show, Married at first sight. Now give the people what they want. Joe

I listened to all these responses, and I was surprised that the majority of y'all responded with a yes, that you think you'd try it out, even if maybe, you know, you wouldn't want it televised. It's something that you're not totally opposed to. And I think it's really interesting because one of you mentioned partially it's because it's true
