And Mr. Amitabhatin fit that persona, that answer to the establishment very accurately and therefore a lot of his movies were like the Angry Young Man was a title associated with him. Likewise in South Indian cinema there were some massive stalwarts making their headway into mainstream South Indian movies, pretty much echoing a similar sentiment and rule of thumb, if you will, that continued up until Mr. Sharu Khan where his signature step of extended extending his arms became like a thing of the generation as it as well

The flip side of all this is being such a male dominated presence that the female lead always the roles always got restricted and reduced to the love interest, the love angle, and merely like a cursory or a customary presence. And so very rarely in mainstream masala movies or the commercial pot buyers, very rarely will the heroine of the film, the female protagonist of the film, will have a major role to play forward the narrative

And smaller screens can hold smaller stories that are actually more deep because they're not relegated to having to bring in thousands and thousands of people into the theaters. But rather really reflect the smaller stories that are really going to become the hero story soon. Because we're more excited about the hero story that reflects the average person. The woman. The downtrodden lower class person who has a story that really helps us understand the more nuanced aspects of society. It's so encouraging

Bear in mind the set of movies that are shared are only from the Hindi film industry. There are that many more traffic from the southern and the eastern feed industry, which like I said, the list would go on and on and I still never do justice to the entire film anthology
